Merry Cherry Christmas!
We went on another lumber run to Brattleboro last weekend and stocked up on some more beautiful local cherry. The cherry came from a family farm in Shaftsbury, VT and was milled back in the 90’s. This native Vermont hardwood has beautiful color and a ton of character, and Nick has started using it for a variety of projects both big and small.

Nick’s New Gig
In the fall, Nick started working three days a week at ShackletonThomas as a furniture maker. It's been a great opportunity for him to broaden his skill set and focus on making furniture full time.

In the works
Nick has been building a new exterior door for the historic Fox Stand building in Royalton, VT. Built from Sapele, this heavy SOB will feature six raised panels, pinned joinery, and will have a marine grade clear coat finish. The panels will get one coat before it gets glued up to ensure every inch of this baby will be protected from Vermont's wacky weather.
