Carved Plate in Walnut

Carved Plate in Walnut
This one is inspired by our friend, Susana!
In a quick iPhone photo we took of another Walnut plate, she mistook a shadow for an asymmetrical design. When she realized it wasn’t, she said “On the bottom left of the bowl it looks like the lip widens out. I LOVE THAT!” This is the first exploration of an asymmetrical form.
Turned from a solid piece of American Walnut, the outer rim features a hand-carved texture that catches the light and stimulates the fingers.
