The Maynard Collection
The Maynard collection is named after my maternal grandmothers and is inspired by classic Shaker forms. Tapered legs, beveled tops, and traditional joinery are all celebrated attributes of this particular line. These elegant designs are the perfect blend of form and function.
The Maynard desk features two dovetailed drawers with turned knobs.
This design features two dovetailed drawers with concealed pulls under the drawer fronts.
Adapting the aspects of the desk and coffee table, this hall table features the same concealed drawer and can be customized to any size.
This was the first opportunity to translate the Maynard design principles into a case piece. It features frame and panel case sides, six graduated half-blind dovetailed drawers, and turned knobs.
I designed this piece with the Maynard collection in mind but felt it was too linear. I chose to incorporate the curved aprons from the Derby design to help break up all those straight lines. I incorporated curved pulls for the doors and drawers to complete the design.
